The Philatelic Centre and Postal Museum was opened in 1981 by the Cyprus Department of Postal Services, www.cypruspost.gov.cy. Its present site is an old listed family town house. Its operation has been entrusted to Ploutis Loizou who is fully informed on Philately, and is enthusiastic and helpful to all who enquire. The Venetial walls of Nicosia. Entrance is free.

In the Postal Museum there are very important series of Cyprus stamps and FDC’s since 1880 until now as well as various items related to the history of the Cyprus Department of Postal Services such as scales, old letter boxes, wall plaques, record books, approx. 400 old Cyprus rural cancellation seals and other historical items.
